Self-Made Legends was not founded in a studio. It was founded in the gap between where a person starts and where they refuse to stop — the long, unglamorous middle that nobody photographs.

The lion is not decoration. It is the oldest symbol of a thing that answers to no one. The crown is not inherited here; it is built, stitched, and worn by people who made themselves.

Every garment carries the crest. Every crest is a receipt.

Legends are not born into thrones. They build the room the throne sits in.

House Rules — The Legendary Pull

No purchase necessary. Entering is free and buying something does not improve your chances.

Who can enter. Open to legal residents of the United States, 18 or older. Void where prohibited.

How to enter. Submit the form with a written entry, a link to a video, or both. One entry per person per month.

When. Each month runs from the 1st to the last day, US Central Time. Entries after that roll into the following month.

How the winner is picked. Every entry is read by the founder of Self-Made Legends and judged on honesty, the story behind it, and spirit. This is a skill contest, not a random drawing. The founder's decision is final.

The prize. One winner per month receives a gift from the house, shipped free. The gift is not disclosed in advance. Approximate retail value up to [ SET VALUE ]. No cash alternative and the prize cannot be transferred.

Notification. The winner is contacted by email within 7 days of the month closing, and must reply within 14 days to claim. Unclaimed prizes may be re-awarded.

Your entry. You keep ownership of what you write and film. By entering you give Self-Made Legends LLC permission to show your entry, your first name and your city on this site and on social media if you are chosen. You can ask us not to — just say so when you enter.

Taxes. Winners are responsible for any taxes on the prize.

A mother remembered and a daughter growing up. Their initials sit either side of the crest on the outsole — GW and CLB — so both are underfoot at every step and nobody else ever sees them. The tag inside the snapback is the same CLB.

These pieces are about real people — the Grace & Cherish pairs, the Rose pairs, and the tag inside the snapback. They are the strongest work on any of these sheets, and the reason the rest of it holds together.

One palette, every category

The House Colourways

The same six names run through the socks, the sandals, the beanie, the suits and the dress shoes. That is what makes them one collection rather than six.

Two of these are drifting. Across eight sheets the purple is called Legacy Purple Gold, Empire Purple, Empire Purple Gold and Legacy Purple Edition — four names. The off-white is Ivory Gold, Ivory White Gold and Ice White Gold — three. Pick one of each before a single label is printed: a customer who owns two pieces will notice, and a factory given two names for one colour will dye two colours.

Every piece on this page is a design sheet — the specification the first samples are built from. What ships will be photographed here when it lands.

The first run is small on purpose. One style, maybe two, and a thousand pieces of it. The vote is open and it decides which one gets built first.

Cut, sewn, and numbered

Made to a specification rather than picked from a catalogue — the suits, the dress shoes, the footwear. Each one carries its number stitched, debossed or moulded into it, where only the owner finds it.

Frequently Asked

What does “numbered run” actually mean?

Each drop is produced in a fixed quantity, and every piece carries a tag with its number in that run. When the run is finished, that colorway is not produced again. A restock in a different colorway is a new run with new numbers.

How do the sizes fit?

Apparel is cut boxy with a dropped shoulder and fits true to size. If you want a closer fit, size down one.

Footwear: the Legend 01 Low and the Marble Slide run true. The Crown Runner runs slightly long — take a half size down.

When is the next drop?

Dates are announced to the newsletter first, then on social. The Drop Calendar shows what is open now and what is next.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are packed by hand and ship in 1–3 business days. US delivery is 3–7 business days standard, or 1–2 by express. Standard shipping is free on orders over $150.

International runs 7–28 business days depending on the region. Full rates are on the Shipping & Returns page.

Can I return or exchange something?

30 days from delivery, unworn, tags attached, in the original box. Nothing is final sale — limited runs included.

Your first size exchange is free both ways. If we sent the wrong thing or it arrived damaged, we cover everything.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — Canada, the UK, the EU, and most of the rest of the world.

Customs duties and import taxes are charged by your country and are your responsibility. We cannot predict or refund them. Rates and delivery windows are on the Shipping & Returns page.

How do I care for the velour and the foil crest?

Cold wash, inside out, hang dry. Never put an iron directly on the crest — the gold foil will lift. If you must press the garment, press the reverse with a cloth between the iron and the fabric.

How do I know a piece is authentic?

Every piece ships in a gold foil rigid box with a velvet dust bag and a numbered authenticity card matching the run tag sewn into the garment. If those three things are not present, it did not come from us.

Do you sell wholesale?

Yes, to a limited number of stockists. Use the contact form and choose “Wholesale enquiry”, or write to wholesale@selfmadelegendsz.com for the line sheet and terms.

What is The Legendary Pull?

Every month you can tell us — in a video or in writing — why you are worthy of Legendary status. The founder reads every entry and picks one person. That person is sent a gift from the house, free, and nobody knows what it is until it arrives.
